Excessive exercise tends to accelerate heart failure
Heart failure is the abbreviation of heart failure. It is a group of complex clinical syndromes with ventricular filling or impaired ejection capacity. The main clinical manifestations are dyspnea, fatigue, and fluid retention. Heart failure is one of the five fatal cardiovascular diseases, with a high prevalence rate, high hospitalization times and heavy economic burden.
With the rapid development of modern medical means, many cardiovascular problems have been solved, even some can be cured, but many will eventually go to the stage of heart failure. Zhang Yajun, Executive Director of Heart Failure Center of Shanghai Yuanda Cardiothoracic Hospital, said: "In fact, there are two causes of heart failure. One is caused by heart diseases, such as coronary heart disease, cardiomyopathy, valvular disease, congenital heart disease, pericardial disease, etc.; the other is caused by non heart diseases, such as diabetes, hypertension, hyperthyroidism, chronic renal failure, etc. Therefore, heart failure is not an independent disease, it is the end stage of heart disease development, and it can also evolve from other diseases."
Three types of people are high-risk groups for heart failure
In clinical treatment, doctors found that there are three types of people who are at high risk of heart failure.
The first type is coronary heart disease patients, coronary heart disease is the most common cause of heart failure; Hypertension is a major risk factor for heart failure. If you have coronary heart disease or high blood pressure, you should take more blood pressure at ordinary times, take regular ECG examinations, and pay more attention to heart health care.
The second type is metabolic syndrome patients, such as diabetes and obese people, who usually pay more attention to light diet, control weight, and eat less and more meals, because full meals may also cause heart failure.
The third category is people who have a history of cardiotoxic drugs, rheumatic fever, and family history of cardiomyopathy. They should pay attention to whether there are symptoms of heart failure, because these are high risk factors of heart failure.
Men have pain in their left arm, women have pain between their arms or shoulder blades
For the high-risk group of heart failure, on the one hand, we should actively prevent the occurrence of heart failure and prevent the disease from worsening, on the other hand, we should learn to recognize the early signs of heart failure.
From the clinical experience, the most common symptoms of heart failure among women are: fatigue, sweating and shortness of breath without cause, and pain in the chin, neck and back. In this regard, Director Zhang Yajun said that these signs have certain reference significance for early detection and timely treatment of heart failure. At the same time, the above symptoms may also be caused by other reasons, and specific analysis of specific conditions is the key to correct diagnosis of the disease.
The patient has frequent fatigue, which is one of the signs of heart failure. In particular, the patient has frequent asthma, palpitations, hard work, and is particularly tired after a little activity. The symptoms continue to worsen, accompanied by foot swelling and other symptoms, so the possibility of heart failure should be considered.
In addition, chest pain is also a sign of heart failure. In many heart attacks, pain begins in the chest and spreads to the shoulders, arms, elbows, back, neck, chin or abdomen. At the same time, some patients do not have chest pain, but only have pain in these body parts. The pain may not be fixed. Generally speaking, in men, it is often left arm pain; Women are more likely to experience pain between their arms or shoulder blades.
Heart failure is a long-term "battle" medicine
In recent years, there have been many symptomatic drugs for the treatment of heart failure, especially the emergence of neuroendocrine antagonists, which have a significant effect on the treatment of heart failure. Taking moderate and severe heart failure as an example, targeted treatment in professional hospitals can improve the survival rate from the previous 5 years to the current 10 years or more. Modern medicine adopts the method of regulating the internal balance to treat heart failure diseases. On the one hand, it is maintained through hemodynamics, and on the other hand, it is avoided the vicious circle caused by heart failure by maintaining the balance of hormones, proteins and blood volume in the body. In this case, problems will occur if the drug is stopped. Heart failure is a disease requiring long-term medication, especially during the Spring Festival, you should not stop taking medicine easily, and you should take medicine according to your doctor's advice.
Expert Reminder: Excessive Exercise May Accelerate Heart Failure
The latest research shows that exercise can be too much, which may accelerate heart failure.
According to Reuters, Dr. Rebecca Schultz of the University of South Dakota and her colleagues published the results of the experiment in the journal Hypertension. They found in the experiment that the rats who often pedal on the wheel tend to overexert. After a period of time, the heart of these mice will be abnormal, and the blood pumping function will be weakened; Compared with mice with less exercise, mice with hypertension had significantly faster heart failure.
Dr. Paul Schulze of Boston University Medical Center and Satyam Salma of Brown University Medical Center in Rhode Island commented in Hypertension magazine at the same time that this research result "should attract our attention", and strenuous exercise may cause harm to people with high blood pressure but without treatment.
